What is a Cellulite?
Cellulite is a condition of the skin in which the skin appears to have certain areas with underlying fat deposits thus giving it a dimpled and a lumpy appearance. It is present in regions of the thighs and buttocks. It is known to occur only after puberty. With the anti cellulite exercises this condition can be controlled.
In medical terminology cellulite is also known as adiposis edematosa, dermo-panniculosis deformans, status protrusus cutis, and gynoid lipodystrophy and as orange peel syndrome, cottage cheese skin, hail damage, and the mattress phenomenon in layman terms. It is caused by hormonal factors, genetic factors, lifestyle factors, diet conditions and clothing factors. It is classified according to grades.
This grade of cellulite sees no clinical symptoms, but when microscopically examined, areas affected will show anatomical changes.
This grade of cellulite requires the skin to appear pasty and be of lower temperature than the rest of the parts of the body, and have decreased elasticity, in addition to anatomical changes noted by microscopic examinations.
This grade of cellulite has visible roughness of the skin along with all grade 2 signs. It occurs more in the female sex as they possess the kind of fat and connective tissue likely to be affected. Cellulite can be removed by pneumatic massages, massages that stimulate lymphatic flow, ultrasound, heat therapy, radio frequency therapy, magnetic wave therapy, radial wave therapy, endermologie and electrical stimulation.
Exercises to get rid of cellulite
There are many anti cellulite exercises which are very effective. Three sets of each of these exercise is to be performed up to fifteen repetitions in each set.
Stand with your back to a chair and your feet about shoulder-width apart. The dumbbells should be held down by the sides with the palms facing in. Keeping the back straight we should squat down as though you are sitting. Don't let your knees move forward over your toes. Stop just before touching the chair and then stand back up.
Stand with both dumb bells held down by your side. Take a huge step forward with your right leg and plant it firmly on the ground. Without moving the right leg, lower the left leg downwards. Repeat the same procedure starting with the left foot. This is counted as one repetition. Up to fifteen repetitions are to be performed and a total of three sets; but do not overstrain your body. Initially it seems highly difficult. In such a case three sets are not necessary. Gradually increase the frequency. This exercise to get rid of cellulite is quite effective.
Stand holding the dumb bells by the sides in front of a step. Climb the step with your right leg followed by the leg and climb down with your left leg followed by your right leg. Three sets of this exercise are to be performed up to fifteen repetitions in each set.
Anti-cellulite exercises mentioned above are effective when performed regularly and the results are highly satisfying.
